Job description for BCBA

Lighthouse Neurofeedback and Behavior Analysis is a company located in the heart of the foothills in Longmont, Colorado. Our company provides ABA services within our clinic, the community and client's homes. We also offer multidisciplinary treatments including neurofeedback, biofeedback, psychotherapy, occupational therapy and family therapy. This allows for professional collaboration for clients across disciplines and is something that sets us apart within the field of ABA. Our clientele vary in age (2-21) and diagnoses which provides ample growing and learning experiences. Lighthouse is happy to offer additional trainings and supports to do just that!

The Lighthouse team is composed of individuals dedicated to data-driven decision making and effective practice. We strive to stay ahead of the curve both in terms of therapeutic practices (we now implement the PEAK assessment and curriculum for autistic children and young adults) and technology (we use cloud based data collection and reporting software to facilitate clinical decision making and sharing of client progress with stakeholders).

Lighthouse serves a very diverse population through both private and public insurance options. Colorado Medicaid funds ABA services to a large number of non-Autistic diagnoses. We provide additional training and support to BCBA's in need of training in Trauma/Attachment informed approaches, collaborating with Psychiatrists, and RFT/ACT/AIM.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments to identify client priorities and appropriate assessment procedures.

  • Conduct and supervise skills and functional behavior assessments.

  • Document assessment and treatment goals for submission to insurers to support authorization of treatment funding.

  • Conduct initial program probes and intermittent therapy sessions to assess appropriateness of interventions, client response, and troubleshoot protocols.

  • Train and supervise RBTs to ensure treatment fidelity.

  • Meet with BCaBAs/Senior Therapists to assist them in maintaining program materials, graphing data, and conducting competency evaluations.

  • Regularly review and analyze client data/graphs

  • Collaborate with other therapeutic team members to maximize client benefit from disparate or overlapping interventions.

  • Conduct initial consults with families interested in finding out more about ABA or LH services.

  • Conduct workshops with LH staff or community members on topics related to autism/neurodevelopmental disorders, Behavior Analysis, parenting skills, etc.

  • Participate in weekly Senior Clinical Meetings to participate in the continued development and expansion of LH services.

  • Provide parent and other caregiver/staff training
